Marina Sirtis is a British-American actress who is best recognized for playing Counselor Deanna Troi in the TV series ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation.’ She is also known for reprising the role in the feature films in the Star Trek franchise. Born in Hackney, London, to working-class Greek parents, Sirtis decided to become an actress against her parents' wishes. She secretly auditioned for drama schools before ultimately being accepted into Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She eventually began her acting career in Connaught Theatre following her graduation from Guildhall. Since then, Sirtis has been contributing to stage plays, films, and TV programs, and has even worked as a voice artist for many video games.
